Privacy & analytics

We use basic site measurements to understand whether Around SLO is useful and working well. This page explains the tools currently used on the site.

Site performance

Cloudflare serves the site and provides Web Analytics. Its measurement helps us see aggregate traffic and page performance. Cloudflare says its Web Analytics beacon does not use cookies to identify visitors. Learn about Cloudflare Web Analytics.

Optional Google Analytics

If you select Allow analytics, we load Google Tag Manager to run Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics may use cookies and records visits and interactions so we can understand how people use the site. We have not configured advertising tags. If you select No thanks, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics do not load on subsequent page views. Read Google's privacy policy.

Your choice

Your analytics choice is saved in this browser. You can reopen the choice panel at any time. If you withdraw consent after Google Analytics has loaded on the current page, the page reloads to stop further tracking.

Google Maps restaurant information

When you choose to load a restaurant’s Google rating and reviews, our server requests that restaurant’s information from Google Maps. We display it for that visit without saving it to our restaurant records. Reviewer names, profile links, and any displayed avatars come from Google. Loading an avatar or following a Google link connects your browser to Google, whose Privacy Policy applies. See our terms for Google Maps content.
