Gutenberg! The Musical!

WHEN2:00 PM–4:00 PMSaturday · Pacific time
WHERESan Luis Obispo Repertory TheatreSan Luis Obispo

WHAT TO EXPECT

Two overconfident writers, Bud and Doug, stage a shoestring backers' audition for their ridiculous new show about printing press pioneer Johann Gutenberg. Armed with hats, props, zero budget and unshakable enthusiasm, they perform every role in their 'historical' hysterical epic, hoping a deep-pocketed producer will turn their absurd dream into a Broadway hit.

Essential notes

  • Rating: PG-13
  • Audience guidance: This high-energy, two-man musical comedy and satire is generally recommended for audiences ages 13 and up (PG-13). While it is a fun, lighthearted spoof, it contains adult humor and mature themes presented through a crude, satirical lens. Parental guidance is suggested.
